Zoey’s Mitzvah Project

I started at Camps Kenwood and Evergreen in 2021 when I was 9. Since then, I have waited the 10 months of the school year, longing to reunite with my best friends on Eagle Pond. Camp has given me so much, from cool adventures to lifelong best friends, and I would love to share the gift of camp with other kids.

Camp has taught me so much, like how to live with a “Why not?!” attitude, and to try new things. It has also taught me people skills, how to be independent, and make all new kinds of friends. At camp, I’ve played many sports, made movies, been in musicals, sang in a band, and been my best self.

While camp might be the best place ever and my second home, it is also very expensive. I am very, very lucky that my family is fortunate enough to send me to camp. Unfortunately, some kids are not as lucky. I love camp so much and it breaks my heart to know that not all kids not have the opportunity to go. Camps Kenwood and Evergreen has brought so much happiness into my life, and I really want to give other kids that same gift.

It would make me (and a future camper) so happy if you would please donate to this cause. I want to give other kids the awesomeness I experience every summer at Camps Kenwood and Evergreen, swimming in Eagle Pond.

Every dollar makes a difference!

Emme’s Mitzvah Project

As my Bat Mitzvah Project, I'm excited to raise and donate money to Mickey’s Kids. My mom started going to Camp Evergreen in 1988, and I've been going to K&E since 2022. I got super interested in this organization through my camp and can’t wait to help even more by supporting Mickey’s Kids as my Bat Mitzvah Project. This way, I can help other kids have the same amazing experiences I’ve had at Camp K&E.

Some of my best life experiences and friendships have happened because of camp. Spending my summers away from home has taught me so much, like how to get along with different kinds of people, be independent, and make new friends from all over the world. I know these important life skills will help me forever. I’ve made lifelong friendships and consider my entire camp community my awesome extended family. All winter long, we countdown the days until we’re back together on the shores of Eagle Pond.

Mickey’s Kids helps give these opportunities and experiences to kids who otherwise wouldn’t be able to go to camp. Please help me support Mickey’s Kids by donating to this special cause!
